What is MPMM?
A

MPMM is a Project Management Methodology which provides a complete "framework" for managing projects. This framework provides you with a step-by-step walkthrough of the phases, activities and tasks to be undertaken to complete a project. By following the Project Life Cycle framework for your project, you will greatly enhance your chances of project success.

This product not only contains more than 1000 pages of content describing how projects should be undertaken successfully, but it also includes:

What are its core features?
A

MPMM is a body of project management content, wrapped in a simple, easy to use software tool. This tool includes such core features as a Navigation Panel, Display Panel, Page Summary Panel and Related Topics Panel. It also includes Navigation Tabs, Display Tabs and Feature Buttons to help you to navigate through the enormous amount of content included within the tool. How is the PMBOK® Guide utilized?
A

We have a license with PMI to integrate our methodology with the PMBOK® Guide and sell it to others. PMI refers to this as a "derivative product". We have also licensed the PMBOK® Guide in Spanish, French, Italian and Arabic. We may be introducing derivative products in those languages as well. MPMM V6 contains a full licensed copy of the PMBOK® Guide. For each element of MPMM, we have linked to the appropriate related content of the PMBOK® Guide. If you are interested in more information on a particular MPMM process, you can click on the links to review the related PMBOK® Guide content. This provides even more relevant content at your fingertips when you need extra explanation.


Q
Can I update/edit the content pages from the PMBOK® Guide??
A

The PMBOK® Guide is available for your reference. If you want to change the MPMM methodology, you should add, change or delete the MPMM pages - not the PMBOK® Guide pages. If you change the PMBOK® Guide, it will no longer be the PMBOK® Guide. So, read the content but do not change it. It will be confusing for you in the future. If you have an Enterprise license, you can publish the content for your licensed users of your organization. In addition, do not: copy the content of the PMBOK® Guide for use outside of the MPMM environment; share the content with people that are not licensed users; or resell or otherwise utilize the PMBOK® Guide content outside of MPMM.

How can I trial it?
A

By downloading and using the Trial Version of MPMM, you can gain an understanding of the type of content and functionality offered by this complete project management methodology product. How can I buy it?

Once you're ready to purchase MPMM to gain access to the 1000+ pages of content included within the tool, choose the edition required (i.e. Professional Edition, Standard Edition or Educational Edition) and follow the steps listed to make your purchase.

Can I get a refund?
A

We have a strictly "no refunds policy". The reason is that we provide you with a full trial edition of the product for a reasonable length of time, so you can view all of the features we offer. So there is plenty of time to try the product and make your purchasing decision.


Installing

How can I install it?
A

When you purchase MPMM, you will have the ability to immediately download the product from our website. After downloading the product, it will automatically install the relevant files on your PC or other hardware device (e.g. laptop) and load the application ready for you to enter your serial number. You should by then have received your serial number in your email account, and you can enter this serial number to activate and use the product. How can I activate it?
A

The activation process is the means by which your license is validated on your PC. By activating your product, you will validate your installation against our Valid Licenses Database. Validating is easy - you can either validate your product online automatically (if you are currently connected to the internet) when you load MPMM, or you can email us with your license details and we will send you an activation code to enter manually. How do I use it?
A

Once you have downloaded, installed and activated MPMM, you will be free to traverse the wealth of content included within the product. To gain a basic understanding of the features offered within this product, first read the Features page. Then to gain an understanding of how MPMM will help you in your role, we suggest that you read the Solutions page.

How do I navigate the content?
A

To help you navigate the wealth of information included within this product, we have included a suite of navigation features such as the Navigation Panel. See the Features page for more information.

How do I print the content?
A

Any page within MPMM can easily be printed, by selecting the Print button on the top right-hand corner of this tool. Simply navigate to the page you wish to print, and the contents currently visible within the Display Panel will be available for printing to the printer of your choice.

How do I export the content?
A

You can easily export any of the template content into Microsoft Word and Excel, by selecting a template and clicking on the Export button on the top right-hand corner of this tool. You will then be able to open the raw content of each template, save it to your PC and use it to quickly complete project documentation for your project. Note: Only Templates may be exported. The export button will be inactive when viewing all other pages, such as Life Cycle and Example pages.

Why can I only export templates?
A

We know that you need to use document templates to complete your project successfully, which is why we have allowed you full access to each template included within this product. In order to protect the core Intellectual Property offered by MPMM, we have allowed read-only access to each of the additional content pages provided. As such, you will notice that the Export button is only activated when you access a template page within this product.

Can I customize the panels?
A

Yes. We know that each user has a different screen size, resolution and viewing preference - which is why we have enabled each of the panel borders to be clicked and dragged to customize the size of each panel as required. See the section Customizing the Panels for more information.

Can I customize the content?
A

Yes. You can export any of the templates into your office applications (such as Microsoft Word and Excel) on your PC and customize the content to fit your environment.

Can I scale it to fit my project?
A

Yes. To gain the greatest benefit from using MPMM, you should always scale it to fit the size and type of project to hand. By selecting the project activities which are directly related to your project, you can customize this methodology to fit your particular project environment. Can I submit feedback?
A

Yes. We are always looking for new ideas for improving the content and functionality within this tool. Can I copy the content?

How many PCs can I install it on?
A

You may only install this software on hardware devices for which you have purchased licenses. For instance, if you have purchased a 20 user license, then you may install and activate this software on 20 PC, laptops or other hardware devices. You may not install this software on a central computer server, for shared access within your company.


Upgrading

Which Operating Systems are supported?
A

MPMM is a Windows Application and will run on almost any version of Microsoft Windows. You can access the current version by downloading the trial edition and testing it on your device before purchasing.


Q
Should I backup before upgrading?
A

Yes. MPMM Professional users who have created custom Methodologies should backup their data before they upgrade. Although MPMM will automatically retain your custom Methodologies when you upgrade, it is always good practice to backup your data first, just in case. If you want to upgrade to the latest version of MPMM we recommend you backup your MPMM data first. To backup your data, click the Settings icon (Spanner/Wrench icon) in MPMM, followed by the 'Backup MPMM Data' button. Note: Educational and Standard edition users do not need to perform backups before upgrading.


Q
How do I upgrade?
A

You would first save your serial number. Then follow the process below.

  1. Uninstall MPMM by selecting "add/remove programs" in the Windows Control Panel
  2. Download the latest MPMM trial version from www.MPMM.com and install it
  3. Register and activate the software using your original registration information.

Note for MPMM Professional Edition users: Any Custom Methodologies you had in the old MPMM version will be retained in the new version.
